I hope you have a chance to update it sometime soon!

I really hope to make it out there someday to explore the area and take some photos of my own. There's so much light pollution down here in southern ontario and even southern quebec. I can only imagine the incredible star trails and northern lights you get out there!

If you're interested, check out some of my photography at www.tohellandback.net

Cheers,
LachlanLachlan McViehttp://www.tohellandback.netnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4143310802550178398.post-66147535733624001432010-06-28T14:23:20.156-07:002010-06-28T14:23:20.156-07:00....Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4143310802550178398.post-31549239779881896672010-03-08T11:11:30.927-08:002010-03-08T11:11:30.927-08:00Hello! It is not really needed since you are shooting at high speed and probably moving the lens around a lot anyway.
I shoot hockey with JPG because of the volume of shots that a game typically produces and the fact that I am mostly trying to illustrate what happened in the game with as many shots as possible.
I would use RAW is I was doing portrait (hockey card) type shots that were being set up with lighting or group shots.Paul Lantzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16973582645880018910noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4143310802550178398.post-84613982115519452062009-12-27T21:48:21.413-08:002009-12-27T21:48:21.413-08:00Thank you for your posting. I was considering getting a 7D for hockey only as I too find about 10% or so of my shots are not well focused with the 5DMII. I am not sure if shooting in JPEG would help this. Your posting is appreciated.Sweet Pea's Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11842901419203993867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4143310802550178398.post-91134576705522738622009-12-07T15:39:10.960-08:002009-12-07T15:39:10.960-08:00I just finished watching the news - CTV - and noth...I just finished watching the news - CTV - and nothing, nada, nix, no mention of this at all. It's like Moosonee is a figment of the northern imagination - doesn't really exist - and it's kind of a concern. What about food? This is a good thing to happen, because it highlights just how vulnerable an entire community can be. The only reason I know about this is from Facebook, from friends, and I'm thinking - are the prices going to be jacked up if everything has to go in by air? I hope it all gets resolved very soon, and more pressure is applied to have another route go in.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4143310802550178398.post-6499187488450541442009-12-07T12:51:27.196-08:002009-12-07T12:51:27.196-08:00Not only was the bridge burned, but my family'...Not only was the bridge burned, but my family's cabin and 4 buildings which used to be Wilderness Bible Camp.
